4 modes of cross-border logistics
Traditional express package model
Traditional express packages or postal parcels, also called the postal parcel, postal parcel is cross-border electricity at present in China logistics the main mode of logistics, its characteristic is wide, this is the most appropriate cross-border electricity mode of logistics, postal parcel covered more than 230 countries and regions in the world, almost no matter which corner of the world can deliver. According to statistics, more than 70% of China's cross-border logistics parcels are delivered through traditional express delivery mode. However, postal packets are increasingly unable to meet the development of cross-border e-commerce, because their logistics time is too slow, which seriously restricts their development.
Centralized delivery model
The centralized delivery mode is also the special line logistics mode. In general, the parcels of many buyers in the same region are sent to the destination country or region through the special air line, and then distributed through the local cooperative companies or logistics branches. Due to the scale effect of centralized parcel and the form of air transport, its logistics efficiency and transportation cost will be higher than that of small postal parcel and lower than that of international express.
International express delivery mode
International express delivery mode is the fastest and most expensive mode of transportation. Its biggest advantage lies in the service, and the customer experience is excellent. However, due to its high cost, sellers usually do not actively choose international express delivery mode unless the buyers specifically request time limitation or the safety of transportation. Therefore, international express delivery mode occupies a relatively small share in the cross-border e-commerce market.
Overseas Warehouse Mode
The overseas warehouse mode is that the cross-border e-commerce seller prepares the goods in advance to the logistics warehouse of the destination country. After the customer places an order on the seller's e-commerce website or a third-party store, the goods will be delivered directly to the customer from the overseas warehouse. In this way, the logistics efficiency can be improved to bring quality logistics experience to customers. But sellers usually only select the most popular items to stock up in overseas warehouses.
