The world's largest 24,000 TEU-class container ship voyages to Yantian International
The world's largest container ship-"HMM Algeciras" (Hyundai Merchant Marine Algeciras) is anchored at Yantian International. Lin Qingwen, Managing Director of Yantian International, received Kenny Yoo (Yoo, Guan Ryong), Chairman of Hyundai Merchant Marine China (South China and Hong Kong), and presented him with a souvenir for the first voyage of the ship. This "Big Mac" is about 400 meters in length and 61 meters in width, which is close to the height of the Jingji 100 Building, the second tallest building in Shenzhen. The deck area is close to 4 football fields. Shenzhen is connected all the way to Guangzhou (about 145 kilometers). This is the first of 12 newly built 24,000 TEU super-large container ships of Hyundai Merchant Marine, and other sister ships will also be delivered one after another this year.
The "HMM Algeciras" ship will serve the Asia-Europe routes of the Alliance. The ports of call will be Qingdao, Busan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Suez Canal, Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, and London Gateway Port.
As the first port of choice for ultra-large ships in South China, Yantian International has 20 large-scale container deep-water berths, and ultra-large ships can enter and leave around the clock. With natural deep-water conditions, advanced terminal facilities and outstanding operational capabilities, Yantian International attracts a large number of ships around the world.
Yantian International has always insisted on building a smart, green and world-class port, and continues to develop supporting logistics services such as sea-rail combined transportation and barge transportation to ensure that customers' multiple business needs are met in a timely manner and provide customers with professional, efficient and reliable port services.
